In Part 2 of our CNY 2012 Sneak Peek series, CAFAM gives you an exclusive glimpse into our new venue, Westbrook Middle School and Performing Arts Center. One of the great advantages of moving to this new facility is the large, open cafeteria and the gym.
The gym space is twice as large as our previous space, which will give children and families plenty of space to roam through the exciting, new crafts we have planned to ring in the Year of the Dragon. We also have great vendors selling Chinese merchandise, books, and more!
Another benefit of moving to Westbrook is the large cafeteria space to accommodate all our hungry celebratory attendees! We now have full access to a functional kitchen, which means piping hot food to please all appetites and hungry mouths. We’re excited to welcome our new (but very familiar!) lunch vendor, Bubble Maineia Tea Shop and Café, who will be offering hot, authentic Chinese/Taiwanese dishes straight from the stove. Be prepared to have your taste buds blown out of this world! Of course, the ever-so-popular bubble tea and snacks will still be available for sale by Bubble Maineia. And to top off our exciting food options, be sure to visit the dumpling station, where CAFAM Chinese School will be selling delicious Chinese dumplings for their annual fundraiser!
We’re excited to have you join us on February 4, 2012 at Westbrook Middle School and Performing Arts Center (click the link for directions). The parking is abundant with spaces in the front *AND* the back of the school. Are you excited for CNY? Tell us what you think in the comments section below!
