Dear CAFAM members,
Maine Public Radio is dedicating its talk show “Maine Calling” on Tuesday, January 24, 12:15 – 1:00 PM to the Chinese New Year Celebration, Chinese in Maine, and related topics. That day is the second day of the Year of the Dragon.
The guests will be:
Connie Zhu, former policy analyst with the Maine Center for Economic Policy, now a freelance translator and consultant and adjunct language instructor at Colby College.
Suzanne Fox, president and founder of Fox Intercultural Consulting Services.
Craig Dietrich, retired professor of Chinese History at USM.
Give us a listen. It’s a call-in show. So if you have a question to stump the panel, fire away.
And don’t forget that our CAFAM Celebration takes place on Saturday, February 4 at the Westbrook Middle School and Performing Arts Center, starting at 10:30 AM. Song, dance, crafts, vendors, food, talks, martial arts, cooking demos, mahjongg, etc. It’s the place to be! For more information about the Celebration, check out https://cafammaine.org/cny.
Best regards,
Craig
