Dear CAFAM members,
Mark your calendars for our upcoming Mid-Autumn (Moon) Festival Potluck on Saturday, September 29, 2012.
Once again it’s at Woodfords Church, 202 Woodford Street, Portland ME
Festivities will begin at 4:00 PM. Bring a dish to share. There will also be moon cakes to taste. We will supply beverages, plates, etc.
There’s an adjacent gym area where kids can romp.
We’re starting to work on the program. Traditionally people present “moon” songs and poems, English or Chinese. Kids welcome. And we round up some groups to sing a song or two. And …. whatever!
Last year we greatly enjoyed a performance on the guzheng as well as a performance by Portland’s first poet laureate.
