Dear CAFAM members,
Saturday is our Mid-Autumn Festival potluck. It’s always a great event with lots of people.
It’s at Woodfords Church, 202 Woodford St. in Portland, starting at 4:00.
Everyone brings a dish to share (Chinese, American, whatever). Drinks will be provided. There will be moon cakes to taste.
There’s a gym area where kids can romp.
We’re still working on a program. Hopefully Martin Steingesser (Portland’s first poet laureate) will be there. We now have a keyboard accompanist for our theme song: “Yueliang daibiao wode xin” (“See the moon, you see my heart”). There is still plenty of room for other instrumentalists, poets, singers….?
We hope for a good crowd. Be there or be square (as opposed to round, like the moon)!
Best,
Craig
