Dear CAFAM members,
This message is about sponsorships and vendors.
We have begun vigorous preparations for the annual New Year Celebration. It’s Saturday, February 9.
Some truly exciting things: Chinese School children’s songs and dances, plus a terrific magician, a naturalist with live snakes, rabbits, and dragons (really), drummers, martial arts, a talk about China’s recent Nobel Prize, and more. We have greatly improved the food service set-up.
So unless we are hit by a nor’easter of biblical proportions, it will be a tremendous celebration.
We welcome corporate and individual sponsorships to help defray the costs of Westbrook Performing Arts Center and keep admissions reasonable. Already Fairpoint Communications, Idexx Labs, Southworth Industries, and Fox Intercultural have become sponsors.
If you can help in this effort, it would be much appreciated, either individual support or solicitation of businesses. Individual support can range from $25 and up. There are levels of corporate sponsorship from $50 through $1000 (we should be so lucky). The different levels receive varying degrees of acknowledgment in our program, etc. We have a 4-page explanatory brochure that I can be email to anyone who wants to approach businesses.
Secondly, the Celebration provides space for small vendors to offer their wares in the gym. There are still some tables available. The cost is quite reasonable. If you know of anyone that would like to take advantage of this opportunity, let me know.
