Moon Festival

Dear CAFAM members,

Come celebrate with CAFAM the Moon Festival which will take place on Saturday, September 21st at Woodfords Church on Woodfords Street in Portland beginning at 4:00. It is always a fun filled evening with great food and entertainment.

The Moon Festival dates back over 3,000 years, to moon worshiping in the Shang Dynasty (1600–1046 BC). Ancient Chinese emperors worshiped the moon in the autumn, as they believed that the practice would bring them a plentiful harvest the next year.

Join us in the celebration. Bring your favorite dish to share. We will have moon cakes. And of course feel free to also bring a moon poem or song to share with everyone.

Best,
Alex
