Next Tuesday, March 4th, There will be a lecture on the History of Portland’s Chinese Restaurants presented by CAFAM Board Member Gary Libby.
It starts at 12:00pm at the Maine Historical Society, 489 Congress St, Portland. Cost is free.
Attorney, amateur historian, author, and former Maine Historical Society trustee, Gary Libby, will talk about his long history of researching and publishing on Maine’s Chinese community, as part of special programming relating to Maine Restaurant Week. Gary will share history and collection highlights from the variety of Chinese restaurants that have existed in Portland over the years.
