Dear CAFAM members,
Save the date: We will be holding our annual CAFAM Summer Potluck on Saturday, June 27th, 11 am to 3 pm, at Winslow Park in Freeport.
We’ve enjoyed having our gathering in this park for the last few years—there are beach areas to explore, trails and a playground, plus a picnic shelter for the potluck. We’re also encouraging people to bring kites (a favorite Chinese pastime), Frisbees, and other activities to make the most of our time in the park.
Please bring a dish to share. There will be lots of good food and camaraderie!
DIRECTIONS TO WINSLOW PARK:
Coming either from north or south, get onto Rte 1. In South Freeport you’ll see the big Indian statue by the side of the road. Near there is a blinking light where you’ll turn onto South Freeport Road. Go about a mile and take a right onto Staples Point Road (there is a wooden sign for Winslow Park there). Stay on Staples Point Road all the way to the end.
