REMINDER: Chinese Pipa Musician Wu Man Special Reception and Discounted Performance

Dear CAFAM Members,

Just a reminder that CAFAM has been given a special discount and invitation for a unique musical event this week.

Renowned Chinese pipa musician Wu Man is coming to Maine to perform with The Shanghai Quartet. The night before her performance, there will be an evening reception with Wu Man, and CAFAM members are encouraged to come. She will screen her short documentary about her journey of discovery through China, and she’ll speak about her life experiences.

What: An Intimate Evening of Conversation with Wu Man
When: Wed, March 30, 2016; 6:15 to 8 pm
Where: Maine College of Art, Osher Hall
Admission: Free and open to the public

The salon-like gathering is organized by Portland Ovations in collaboration with Fox Intercultural Consulting and MECA.

The following day features the performance, with a special discounted rate offered to CAFAM members! The tickets are normally $42, but CAFAM members can get a $10 rate. Just mention “Residency” when you order the tickets.

A special “thank you” to the Confucius Institute for their underwriting and support of this residency rate.
