Dear CAFAM members,
Come celebrate the Chinese New Year on Saturday, February 4, 10 am-3 pm, at Westbrook Performing Arts Center, Westbrook.
We have an exciting day of programs for adults and children, including:
Dance performance and lion dancers, arts & crafts, Chinese food, games, vendors, talks and demonstrations.
The talks and demonstrations include a range of interesting topics, including:
– US/China Relations
– Chinese Pop Divas
– Tai Chi
– Screening and discussion of the documentary Plastic China
– Acupuncture
– Traveling up the Yangtze River
– Chinese Tea
Activities and crafts will be available throughout the day. Chinese food will be on sale beginning at 11:30.
The event is sponsored by the Chinese and American Friendship Association of Maine and USM Confucius Institute.
