Film Schedule Changes At Bowdoin

Dear CAFAM members,

The viewing schedule of Bowdoin’s films focusing on Chinese life and issues has changed:

Jordan will be on campus to screen The Silk and the Flame on Oct 29 and a duo of his feature-length film Dog Days and a short film Turtle on Oct 30.

Dog Days looks at the sensitive subject of child trafficking and the struggles of the underclass in China. The Silk and the Flame reveals how cultural and familial pressure to engage in a heterosexual marriage forces a gay son to conceal his identity.

Thank you.
