CAFAM Hosting Event on History of Chinese in Maine

Dear CAFAM members,

Please join CAFAM for a talk by board member Gary Libby about “The History of Chinese in Maine.” This event is part of a major statewide initiative called “Making Migration Visible,” spearheaded by Maine College of Art (MECA. CAFAM is one of the organizations collaborating with the “Migration” initiative to forward the conversation about migration—and immigration in Maine.

What: “The History of Chinese in Maine” – food and conversation, with CAFAM’s Gary Libby; reception with Chinese refreshments

When: December 13th, 5 pm

Where: Maine College of Art, 522 Congress St., Portland

Also: Gallery Talk with visiting artist Yu-Wen Wu follows our CAFAM event. Please stay for this opportunity to hear from the Boston-based Chinese artist, whose work is being exhibited at MECA.
