Chinese Consulate Staff in Portland to Assist Chinese Citizens with Passports

Dear CAFAM members,

The Chinese Consulate in New York City will have representatives in Portland on June 4th to assist Chinese citizens living in Maine with passports, travel permits and health certificates.

The following types of applications will be accepted:

1) Applications for passport renewals for currently valid passports that will expire within 12 months

2) Applications for passport renewals for passports that have expired within the previous 3 months

3) Renewals for passports that no longer have empty visa pages

4) Applications for travel permits for children born in the United States, including those who have never had a travel permit and are applying for a travel permit, and those who have had a valid travel permit and are applying for a travel permit for a period after the current valid travel permit has expired

For instructions with on-site assistance, please view the web page at http://newyork.china-consulate.org/chn/fwzc/zxtz/t1647482.htm and follow the instructions in Step 2. It is important that applicants bring all necessary forms and documentation to the service appointment.

The service will be provided in Portland on June 4th between 5:00PM and 6:30PM and only applicants with an appointment can be assisted. Please contact one of the following people via WeChat on or before June 2nd to make an appointment: Ahkau Ng — ngahkau; Qiao Zhen –wangqz998; or, Jingping Xie — xiejp1. Due to the limited number of consulate staff on hand, a maximum of 20 appointments can be accepted and appointments can only be made for Chinese citizens living within the state of Maine.

6月4日下午5-6:30pm,地点portland 华侨家里，为缅因州侨胞现场办理护照、旅行证、健在证，请需要办证的侨胞先向群里的几位侨领微信联系（Ahkaung—-ngahkau；QiaoZhen—-wangqz998；Jingping——xiejp1 ）登记预约，登记时间到6月2日止。
受理护照、旅行证申请范围
　　此次现场受理以下申请：
（一）因私护照即将到期（有效期不足一年）的护照换发申请。
（二）因私护照已过期但过期不超过3个月的护照换发申请。
(三）因私护照有效但无空白签证页的护照换发申请。　　
（四）在美出生中国籍儿童的旅行证申请（包括从未有旅行证者申请旅行证、原办旅行证有效期不足六个月者申请换发旅行证)。

本次由于人手有限，只能为缅因本州的侨胞提供办证服务。
